Tailored Transitions Announces Seminar Dates

For Accredited Home Staging Training

 

Training program offers best practices and tools for structuring, developing and managing a home staging and moving management company

 

Philadelphia, Pa., October 3, 2006 – Tailored Transitions, a home staging and moving management company that specializes in luxury homes, today announced the dates for its Transitional Tailor ™ seminar series, the first of which will be held in Philadelphia, November 8-10.  The accredited training program leverages Tailored Transitions’ own local success and the growing appreciation for the value of home staging.  The training course is designed for those interested in entering the home staging and moving management field or for those looking to sharpen their business or marketing skills, especially as it relates to the luxury real estate market.

 

The Tailored Transitions Training Seminar will be led by Starr Osborne, the founder of Tailored Transitions. Developed by Osborne, the intensive three-day training course is unique in its depth and breadth of training and support.  Its combination of classroom and field work furnishes attendees with the tools they need to become Transitional Tailors in their own communities.

The full program is divided into three days that will cover the creative, marketing and financial components of the home staging and moving management business.  Designed to be convenient for participants, the series will be offered several times a year so that participants can complete the full program at one time or attend each section as their calendar permits. 

 

Tailored Transitions Training Seminar Program    

 

Day One: (November 8, January 19 and February 5)

The first day will feature “Comprehensive Moving Management: Organizing and Staging the Furnished House”.  Aspiring stagers will be trained to learn the dos and don’ts of home staging.

  • The psychology of moving
  • Packing 101
  • How to minimize and stage simultaneously
  • How to build a Tailored Timeline

Day Two: (November 9, January 20 and February 6)

The second day will focus on “The Finer Points of Staging: Empty Spaces and Furnished Homes”.  This will include:

  • Understanding color trends and usage
  • Organizing and building an effective inventory of furniture
  • Incorporating nature and other decorative accent pieces
  • Choosing and arranging plants and flowers for longevity and beauty.

 

Day Three: (November 10, January 20 and February 7)

The third day will teach the “Tailored Transitions Pattern for Success: The Business of the Business”.  This day will provide information for: 

  • Developing and building successful partner relationships, such as realtors, developers and rental furniture suppliers.
  • Marketing their business.
  • Successfully customizing, pitching and winning new business bids.
  • Managing and developing high-end clientele.
  • Managing the business’ finances.

 

The current dates for the 2006-07 calendar are November 8, 9 & 10; January 19, 20, & 21 and February 5, 6 & 7.

The fee for attendance is $1,000 per day or $2,500 for all three days and includes breakfast and lunch, but not hotel.
